Here are other services that can help in Victoria.

These services are free and you can call them 24/7.

Call the Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) in a flood or storm emergency.

Call VICSES on 132 500 if:

  • Your home is flooding, or about to flood
  • A tree has fallen on your home or car
  • Your roof is damaged or badly leaking
  • A tree is blocking the entry to your home

VICSES is a volunteer-based emergency service.

Call Poison Information Line 13 11 26 if you need advice about poisons, medications or animal bites or stings.

You can call if you think someone has:

  • Been poisoned
  • Taken the wrong tablets
  • Taken too much medication
  • Swallowed or touched dangerous chemicals, plants or pesticides
  • Been bitten or stung by insects, spiders, snakes or sea animals

Call Nurse on Call 1300 60 60 24 to talk to a nurse.

They can give advice and help you find health services in your area.

If you need an interpreter you can ask for one when you call.

You can call if:

  • You or someone you care for is feeling unwell.
  • You are not sure if you need medical help.
  • When you are far away from a doctor or not home.
  • You want information about health services in your area.
