Get help when there is a fire

Call 000 and ask for fire if you see a:

  • House or building fire
  • Grass-fire
  • Bush-fire
  • Any other out-of-control fire

Firefighters will also respond in emergencies such as:

  • Complex rescues
  • Road crashes
  • Emergency medical calls
  • Chemical spills

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is a volunteer fire service in regional areas.

The CFA works across the state to fight fires, teach communities about fire safety, and help with other emergencies.

CFA firefighters are well-respected by all Victorians, even the furry ones!
